The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently announced the winners of the Wind Turbine Materials Recycling Prize. This competition incentivized the development of new recycling solutions for difficult-to-recycle wind turbine materials (such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and rare earth elements) in support of DOE’s ongoing efforts to create a circular economy for wind energy. AltiSora was named a grand prize winner and awarded $600,000 for our Cimentaire technology that utilize wind turbine blade waste as a key component in our special, high-performance coatings. As wind energy deployment continues to accelerate, AltiSora is proud to contribute to a robust, domestic wind recycling ecosystem and to help make the U.S. wind energy industry more sustainable. AltiSora is offering technology for a waterproofing gel
AltiSora is looking for customers or partners that want to explore the application of this technology. Potential applications include waterproofing of electronic equipment or electrical cables or connections in cables, such as cables used in marine applications. Please contact us for more details.
Integral waterproof, foamed concrete
AltiSora is developing technology that will produce integrally waterproof foamed concrete. We have developed a concrete (or cement) additive (or admixture), that allows the production of a lightweight (foamed) concrete with a high integral waterproofing under hydrostatic pressure conditions. We are looking for partners or customers that would like to join us on our journey to maximize the utility of this technology, which can be used in a variety of applications. Please contact us to explore – we would love the opportunity to discuss!
Flat roofs are esthetically pleasing and practical but plagued with waterproofing challenges and frequent maintenance. One exciting possible use of our technology is the construction of flat concrete roofs that will be light weight, with permanent built in waterproofing and good thermal insulation. Other applications can include foundation slabs, building basements, 3D printed walls, water conduits and reservoirs, etc.
